R&B Singer Ciara Gives Birth to Baby Girl
R&B singer Ciara and her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, welcomed a baby girl into the world on Friday, April 28, 2017. The singer’s Instagram account officially welcomed the birth of Sienna Princess Wilson.
“Dear Sienna Princess Wilson. No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We Love You,” Ciara wrote as the birth announcement, accompanied by an image of ocean waves.
Sienna Princess Wilson was born weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces. She shares her middle name with her mother, whose full name is Ciara Princess Wilson.
The healthy little girl is the first child for the Wilsons, who married in June 2016. Ciara, 31, previously gave birth to a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, from a previous relationship with the rapper Future. Ciara’s son turns 3 in May 2017.
Earlier in April, Ciara’s Instagram photos revealed the pregnant Austin, Texas native looking fit, healthy, and fabulous in form-fitting black gowns and sky-high stiletto heels. Clearly her impending maternity did not slow the actress, model, and “Queen of Crunk&B” down.
Ciara first came to international attention in 2004 with her album “Goodies,” featuring the title track as well as hit singles “1,2 Step” featuring Missy Elliot and “Oh” featuring Ludacris. Her 2005 hit “Lose Control” won her a Grammy award for Best Short Form Music Video. Ciara’s sixth studio album, “Jackie,” was released in 2015, and in January 27 the singer announced she had signed a new recording contract with Warner Bros.
