Michel Terpins – The Story of a Legend

Terpins is a well-known name in Brazil when it comes to sports. It is from this name that two prolific rally drivers come from and also their father a basketball player. Michel Terpins is one of the brothers who has participated in many rallying competitions and emerged victoriously. Together with his brother, Michel has accumulated various awards from rally races. He is one of the most dedicated and passionate Brazilian rally drivers.

He started his rally racing career in his young days where he began by racing with motorcycles. He participated in motorcycle racing for a whole season till the seventh edition where he switched to rally racing. He is now at 40 but still has that blood racing running through his veins and is not easily beaten in any competition as it was in 2002. He currently holds the title of the Brazilian Cross Country Rally Champion.

Michel has the will and determination to emerge victorious in every competition. His confidence and courage has attributed to his win and remains an icon in Brazilian sports. His passion for the rally racing sport led him to form a rally team, Bull Sertoes. They are sponsored by Bull Sertoes, Motul & Ohlins among others. Michel participated in the Brazilian Cross Country Rally Champions and Mitsubishi Cup using the team together with his brother.

Rally racing requires the assistance of a dedicated partner where Michel partners with Maykel Justos as his navigator. Together they have become triumphant in Prototype T1 in Sertoes Rally where they finished 5th in the fastest competition. Speed is all that matters in rally racing something that drivers the highly competitive sport loose with age. Michel has however defied the trend and still beats the new competitors in the game. Just like the old saying goes “Life starts at forty,” Michel seems to be all fired up to beat every competitor in the game. He does not show any sign of withering any soon. All this is a result of hard work, passion, and commitment that he has in the rally racing. Michel is indeed an icon in this game.

Harvard’s Newest Elite Product

Harvard has long been known for its academic standing and the noticeable students that come out of it. Now Harvard is being recognized for something else, it’s basketball team. Yanni Hufnagel has been a bench coach on Harvard for 4 years and is already being called a coaching phenom. Harvard just won the Ivy League for the first time ever and the credit is going to the young Jewish coach.

Yanni Hufnagel is being praised for his remarkable recruiting abilities. Those abilities led to Harvard producing notable NBA star Jermey Lin. He was never the best basketball player so instead he went into sports broadcasting. While broadcasting for a public network people immediately noticed the basketball knowledge he had, and the places he could go. At Cornell he spent one season as the basketball manager. From there he got an internship with the New York Nets doing laundry. His big moment came when he got a graduate assistant job at Oklahoma. Yanni Hufnagel became noticed by then star Blake Griffin, whom he helped in the gym early in the morning and late at night. From there he worked his way onto Harvard as a volunteer assistant coach. He continues to make a name for himself as an assistant coach and soon will be able to pick a job at a traditional powerhouse school.

Some career highlights include Hufangel being credited with landing the 29th overall recruiting class at Vanderbilt in 2014. Also at the University of California he helped get Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb to commit, leading them to the NCAA tournament that year.
