Much like Frank Ocean, fans of rapper, Travis Scott, are growing pretty tired waiting for him to release his new album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. With multiple probable release dates mentioned by the artist, including April, May, June, and July, fans quickly started to believe that Travis Scott is the new the boy who cried wolf. On August 12, 2016, Scott tweeted that the wait is officially rearing a close, and fans can expect his album to drop on August 26, 2016. Of course, he offered an apology as well and a promise that his fans will love him for the wait.
In addition to providing the launch date for his tape, the rapper also made mention as to who will be accompanying him on some of the tracks. Aside from remixing “In Common” by Alicia Keys with Kanye West, he will also be remaking “No Limit” by Usher. With big names such as Kid Cudi, Kanye, Alicia, Kendrick Lamar, and Cashmere Cat joining him on this tape, there is no denying that this will be one of the greatest albums of the decade. Of all of the artists expected to spew some awesome rhymes on this track, though, Kid Cudi seems to be the most excited.
“Amped for Travis album,” exclaimed The Kid on Twitter. If a captain of the industry declares his excitement so publicly, this album must be a real gem. Despite the intriguing information leaked in reference to it, though, some fans simply cannot understand why this took so long.
Simply enough, Travis Scott admits to not being a fan of releasing singles and he wants his fans to take this album in collectively for the ultimate experience. “Trust in the flame,” as he stated on Twitter. Your fans will surely give you another chance, Trav–especially if this album is as epic as you say it is!
