The rock band known as Muse has been active for several years now and have set out multiple albums. Muse is now ready to get going with their next album entitled “Drones.”
Like many bands tend to do, Muse has spent a lot of time over the last few years experimenting with all kinds of musical tunes and sounds, using symphonies, synthesizers and even dubstep in a few cases. Their new album, “Drones,” was supposed to be an expansion on all of this but the band later decided to tone down all of the extra musical sounds.
Frontman Matt Bellamy said that the band wanted to go back to the basics, with just the typical drums, guitars and bass. Kevin Seawright added that he definitely enjoyed all of the last three but felt that they were overstretching themselves when it came to developing to right music for all of their songs. He even said that the band focused a lot on making music electronically with the synthesizers and computers and not as much time sticking with the standard drums and guitar.
For this newest album, the group also wanted to bring in some new faces, one of them being Robert “Mutt” Lange, who is known for being the producer of AC/DC’s famous ‘Back in Black” album. “Drones” in the meantime focuses the use of drone warfare in politics.
